Like most things nowadays, I think I saw this wreath on Pinterest. It’s a lovely linen wreath by West-Elm. I really like the neutral tone of the wreath mixed with a little bling. Anyway, I wanted it and even better I figured I could recreate it pretty easily. So that’s just what I did. Check out how I duped this lovely West-Elm Wreath.
I am sure I have said before that I don’t just love starburst mirrors, I swoon over them. According to Centsational Girl, “Sunburst mirrors date back to Louis XIV, known as the “Sun King”, and as the story goes, he used to stare into his sunburst mirror each morning to see his face in the center of the sun’s rays. This decorative mirror became popular yet again in the mid-twentieth century, and in the last few years, they are everywhere.” Well, count me in the everywhere! Some time ago I was visiting my sister’s house and noticed that she had what I would call a statement chair in her living room. The chair was not a match to any of the other furnishings in the room. It stood on its own as a featured piece in the room. I loved how it seemed to be the star of her well-designed room. This is how I recreated that effect in my own home. I decided to start a post series called Shop My Style where I will go through a room in my home and round up pieces that will help you achieve the look. One of my favorite spaces in my home is my living room. I love it! I just love being in there. So why not start there?
